Regarding "Moshimo FES Shibuya 2024", due to the approach of the powerful typhoon No. 10, we have been forced to cancel the event after considering the safety of all attendees.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to everyone planning to attend this event, as well as to exhibitors and members of the press, and we are planning to hold Moshimo FES Osaka in October 2024. We will continue to work to raise awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation.
The Shibuya Tourism Association (Representative Director: Jungo Kanayama, Location: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo), Future Design Shibuya Shibuya (Representative Director: Hideki Koizumi), and Kokumin Kyosai Coop (Zenrosai) (National Federation of Workers' Mutual Aid Consumers' Co-operative Associations, Representative Director and Chairman: Shuichi Uchikoshi) will be co-hosting "Moshimo FES Shibuya 2024" with the support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Shibuya Ward.
This event is an awareness-raising event on disaster prevention and mitigation targeted at everyone who lives, works, or visits Shibuya. Following in the footsteps of the Shibuya Ward Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Training (SHIBUYA BOSAI FES) that was held until 2019, it will be held for the first time in September 2022. Last year's "TOKYO Moshimo FES Shibuya 2023" attracted over 22,000 people over two days. In a survey of visitors, 98.8% answered that it was "very useful/helpful." (Number of surveys: 332 people)
In preparation for the event, we would like to announce the latest information on the event content as follows. This year, there have been many large earthquakes, including the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024 (January 1st) and the magnitude 7.1 earthquake off the coast of Miyazaki Prefecture (August 8th), which triggered the announcement of the first "Nankai Trough Earthquake Emergency Information" since the operation of 2019. This time, an area titled "Future Evacuation Shelters - Let's Improve the QOL in Disasters" will be set up. In addition to panels displaying records of volunteer activities during the Noto Peninsula earthquake, this area will have a flooding experience using AR technology, a cleanliness set that even children can use safely, and other disaster prevention-related experiences that will make disaster prevention more familiar to you. There are also many other contents that will allow you to learn about earthquakes and disaster prevention in a fun way. Please invite your family and friends to come and visit Yoyogi Park on the first weekend of Disaster Prevention Month.
Held contents (part)
Thinking about and learning about improving QOL during evacuation "Evacuation shelters of the future - Let's improve QOL during disasters"
We have prepared an area to learn from the Noto Peninsula earthquake and reconsider what kind of preparations are necessary if a capital earthquake were to occur in Shibuya. The content is designed to help you learn and experience what you should be careful of when preparing at home and living in an evacuation shelter in order to improve your quality of life in the event of a disaster. We hope you will gain awareness from various perspectives, such as "food and allergies," "water and communication," "pets," and "hygiene." We also provide an opportunity to learn about the actual situation of the Noto Peninsula earthquake and disaster volunteers.
Disaster Prevention Exhibition for Families to Learn
This is a new area called the "Disaster Prevention Trade Fair" where you can learn the basics of disaster prevention and mitigation at various corporate booths.
Thinking about new ways to prepare: "Sports and Outdoors x Disaster Prevention"
In addition to the "Disaster Prevention x Camp" corner produced by Me-Tele's "Happy Camp," this year there will also be a special stage for "NEXT GENERATIONS GAMES" and other content. Have fun learning how to prepare for disasters with camping goods. URL:https://happycamper.jp/

About Moshimo Project
This project was launched in March 2021, 10 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Sponsored by three organizations: Shibuya City Tourism Association, Future Design Shibuya, and Kokumin Kyosai coop <Zenrosai>. If an earthquake directly hits the Tokyo metropolitan area, it is predicted that many transportation systems will stop, about 5 million people will be unable to return home, about 3 million people will be evacuated, and there will be food shortages. In addition, it is said that 75% of people stop thinking and are unable to take appropriate actions due to the occurrence of unexpected disasters. "If" is something that will definitely happen "someday". However, if you prepare for "what if", the future should change greatly. This project is set in Shibuya, where a diverse range of people gather, including those who live, work, and play. It is an initiative aimed at
