"SIW Connect" hosted by "Women's Wellness Action from Shibuya" was held in Omotesando on Tuesday, August 29, in preparation for "SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK" to be held in Shibuya in November this year.
The theme is "Think about What is beauty in Japan".
With the theme of "beauty and health", we will think about biased beauty standards and mental and physical health issues caused by them in Omotesando, which continues to run at the forefront of fashion and beauty. It's time to reconfirm and discover.
First of all, Mr. Hirashima of BMW Group Japan, who cooperated with the venue, introduced the pop-up exhibition "FREUDE BY BMW – THE GARDEN".
Next, Yuki Morita, Chairperson of the Women's Wellness Action from Shibuya Executive Committee, talked about her activities so far and what she wants to do in the future.
Afterwards, under the theme of "Think about what is beauty in japan," a discussion session was held with Ms. Kaori Ooi, Goldwyn's activewear brand "DANSKIN," model/actress Rika Yahara, and makeup artist Hiroko Ikeuchi. Osada, the executive director of Future Design Shibuya, facilitated the discussion on their experiences and what they have learned from their experiences.
In addition, based on the awareness survey on beauty, etc., we input the current situation in Japan, touched on comparisons with overseas, and discussed the beauty that each person feels.
At the end, participants were asked to write a few words about themselves on cards and share them.
In the second half, DANSKIN Ambassador Mami Kida gave a meditation yoga experience. He also talked about why he started yoga and how his mind and body changed after starting yoga. While sitting and slowly moving my body, I was able to prepare my mind and body with meditation at the end.
After we were physically and mentally prepared, we did some networking in the outdoor garden area.
By exchanging opinions among companies and individuals working to improve wellness, it was a time that led to new encounters and discoveries.
