The "Shibuya 5G Entertainment Project", which is composed of participating companies centered on KDDI Corporation, Future Design Shibuya, and the Shibuya City Tourism Association, is a special site with the Shibuya Ward official distribution platform "Virtual Shibuya". From the 20th to the 25th of March, we held a virtual event "Virtual Shibuya au 5G X'mas" that matches the world of 2020, which was shaken by the corona disaster, with the keyword "#StayTogether".
In the space updated to Christmas specifications, a towering Christmas tree and many present boxes have appeared. Participants were impressed by the fantastic scenery that was beautifully colored by the illuminations, as it is difficult to see the realistic illuminations of the city.
During the period, surreal and maniac avatars such as Santa Claus cosplay, Christmas trees, popular characters that were popular this year, and "Yakitori" will appear all over the city. Many people took group photos, enjoyed conversations with the chat function, and experienced the joy of gathering in the same space even when they were far away.
During the event, collaboration events such as a talk show by YOU and Chinatsu Wakatsuki and the screening of Netflix presents "Alice in Borderland" will be held. At the collaboration event "Minna de Virtual! NHK Christmas Show" with NHK, a virtual red and white song battle will be held. We were able to deliver an unprecedented show that can be enjoyed across generations, such as Chico making her debut as a singer.
On the final day, "Very Merry X'mas from FPM" will be held with FPM Tomoyuki Tanaka, who also participated in the opening talk show on the first day, as a DJ. We have delivered a DJ set of Christmas songs collected from all over the world for generations on a holy night.

A gorgeous gift was delivered to many people through virtual Shibuya from 25 companies that said they wanted to make the world a little more energetic and Santa Claus from Finland at Christmas in Corona. "Virtual Shibuya" was born in May 2020 during the period of self-restraint due to the spread of new coronavirus infection. We actively held collaboration events and season events as a new city model in the New Normal era.
