"Next Generations" is a street sports project that aims to promote street sports and raise awareness of street sports etiquette, and allows young people to actively participate. It has decided to hold the "Next Generations Games 2024," a street sports competition for U-15 (junior high school students and younger), for the seventh consecutive year since 2018.
This year, the event will be held in Yoyogi Park over two days, Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st, in collaboration with Future Design Shibuya, the general incorporated association in charge of the event, Kokumin Kyosai Coop (National Federation of Workers' Mutual Aid Consumers' Cooperative Association), and Moshimo FES Shibuya 2024, which is organized by the Shibuya Ward Tourism Association. The events to be held will include freestyle football, which was added last year, as well as four other events that have produced numerous champions at the Next Generations Games, including breaking, double dutch, and hip hop.
In addition, this time, in collaboration with Ajinomoto Co., Inc., we will hold an online course on "food" for GAMES entrants. This will be a valuable course unique to Ajinomoto Co., Inc., which supports the "food" of Olympians and other world-class athletes, including hints on daily body preparation for competitions and nutritional supplementation on the day of the battle, so we hope that parents and guardians will also take advantage of it.
The deadline for entries for the "Next Generations Games 2024" participants is Friday, August 16th. Details on how to participate in the accompanying workshops and trial sessions, schedules, spectators, nutritional courses, etc. will be announced on the website and social media as soon as they are finalized. Who will lead the next generation of the scene? Let's all support and witness that moment.

About Next Generations
This is a project to create a sports scene for the next generation, a collaboration between industry, government, academia and the public, launched in 2018 to focus on the next generation who will be the ones to expand the possibilities of Shibuya and the city, to create a place where the next generation can "encounter" sports, "learn" from sports, and "shine" in their favorite sports, and to design a city they can be proud of. Shibuya, a place that is the source of fashion and culture, is also a city where our predecessors pioneered street sports and their culture. We aim to recreate the places (playgrounds) that were lost with the development of the city, promote street sports and promote etiquette, foster a sports culture that is unique to Shibuya, and revive Shibuya as the mecca of street sports.

About Moshimo FES Shibuya 2024
Following the trend of the Shibuya Ward Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Drill (SHIBUYA BOSAI FES) which was held until 2019, the event was held for the first time in September 2022 as an event to raise awareness of "disaster prevention and mitigation" and is open to Shibuya residents and visitors.
The event envisions a disaster in metropolitan areas in the event of a major earthquake, and aims to raise awareness of evacuation procedures and emergency preparedness in order to increase the number of people who can do something about it themselves in the event of such a disaster.
This year, the third year of the event, will be held at Yoyogi Park for two days on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st (Disaster Prevention Day), 2024. Each area will have a different theme, and booths will be set up to help people prepare for disasters.
