SIW is one of Japan's largest social and cultural design festivals. It took over from "DIVE DIVERSITY SUMMIT SHIBUYA" held in 2017 and has produced a variety of social actions.
This year's slogan is "Connecting Colors of Dots." It expresses our hope that this will be a place where people with various colors can connect with each other, think about a more colorful future, and generate ideas.
We will work with a wide variety of companies, creators, and artists to come up with new business ideas for a better society, the future potential of cities discovered through music and art, the emergence of new cultures on the streets, future life as seen through technology, and messages that will inspire the next era, and then experience and demonstrate these ideas in the entertainment city of Shibuya.
SIW2024 aims to bring together industry, government, academia and citizens across boundaries to create new social actions and culture.

In 2024, SIW will be updated as a platform that aims to create clearer actions, called "Social & Cultural Design". Social design means a new social system and framework. We would like to create projects that will bring together government agencies, companies, and the people living in Shibuya to discuss and envision new ways of learning, living, welfare, and health in the city of Shibuya. And cultural design. We would like to challenge ourselves to create a culture that will lead to new industries together with companies and creators with diverse values.
This year's slogan is "Connecting Colors of Dots."
I look forward to bringing together people of all kinds of different backgrounds and sharing the opportunity to think about a more colorful future.

The seventh SIW will be held in Shibuya, and will be a new platform for dialogue, planning, experience and demonstration between industry, government, academia and the public to design the future from Shibuya. While strengthening the year-round activities that have been undertaken in recent years, we hope that the Future Design Shibuya slogan "THINK -> ACTION" encourages not only thinking but also action, and that it can be used casually as a platform for government, companies and local communities to create co-creation projects. Furthermore, starting this year, in order to create opportunities to express the diverse individuality and values that Shibuya has, we will collaborate with elements of music, art and sports as well as local events, evolving into an "urban festival" that more people can participate in. Features of SIW2024
1. Social Design Program and Cultural Design Program
Social Design Program: A program to develop ideas together with Shibuya Ward and related organizations on themes of social issues and the future potential of cities.
Cultural Design Program: A program that creates an opportunity to create a new culture in the city and connect it to business and industry.
2. Programs linked to various events held in Shibuya
Collaborative programs such as the Shibuya Music Festival, Hometown Shibuya Festival, Shibuya Art Festival, and Tokyo Snow Festival will be held simultaneously.
