“SHIBUYA PLAYGROUND” is a project to create sports culture from the streets and parks of Shibuya, opening up the streets and parks of Shibuya as playgrounds for sports.
The first release was ``~Creating sports culture from Shibuya~,'' which was created during Shibuya Play Ground Week held last October.
In this video, street sports leaders from various genres participate and perform at various locations in Shibuya. This initiative envisions a future where Shibuya's unique sports culture takes root in the city, where various people and communities from Japan and abroad visit Shibuya, and where a new culture is born.

What is Shibuya Play Ground?
The city of Shibuya is viewed as a 15 km2 sports playground, and the Sports Agency has established a ``content creation project'' for 2025 as a sports promotion project where citizens can ``do,'' ``see,'' ``support,'' and ``connect.'' We will make it happen as part of this.
This project utilizes Shibuya's unique culture and public spaces within the ward to provide an opportunity for athletes, players, and visitors to "encounter" and "experience" urban sports through urban sports, with a focus on breaking, which will become an Olympic sport in 2024. We provide an opportunity to deepen your understanding of ``building connections'' and ``Diversity & Inclusion''. In addition, by inviting top athletes from Japan and overseas, we will promote inbound tourism and collaboration between the local community and sports as a noteworthy project unique to Shibuya. We aim to create a PLAYGROUND where all people can shine, including those who come to Shibuya, as well as those who play, watch, and support sports in Shibuya.
