The street sports project "Next Generations", in which young people can actively participate, has been held since 2018 for the purpose of promoting street sports and enlightenment on improving manners. We have decided to hold the street sports competition "Next Generations Games 2023".

This year, which will be held for the 6th consecutive year, the event will be held by Future Design Shibuya, who will be in charge of this event, Kokumin Kyosai coop (Zenrosai) (National Federation of Workers' Mutual Aid Co-operative Associations), and the Shibuya Ward Tourism Association. In collaboration with “TOKYO Moshimo FES Shibuya 2023”, it will be held at Yoyogi Park Keyaki Namiki for two days on September 2nd (Sat) and 3rd (Sun).

The first day, September 2 (Saturday), will be the day of the competition, with the addition of freestyle football, breaking for the sixth consecutive year, double dutch for the fifth consecutive year, and hip-hop for the second consecutive year. 4 competitions will be held. On the next day, the 3rd (Sunday), as a collaborative project with workshops, experience sessions, and "TOKYO Moshimo FES Shibuya 2023", we formed a performance team centered on the players who were active in the competition the day before, and "TOKYO Moshimo FES Shibuya 2023". ] will have a special performance on the main stage.

Entries for the “Next Generations Games 2023” to be held on Saturday, September 2nd will be accepted on the Next Generations website from Thursday, July 27th. In addition, details such as how to participate in the workshop and experience session to be held on the following day (Sunday), schedule, watching games, live streaming, etc. will be announced on the Next Generations website as soon as they are decided.

Along with the expansion of the street sports scene, the volume has been increased over the two days by adding new sports. In addition to the above, we are preparing various projects in addition to the above so that not only U-15 next-generation athletes who are enthusiastic about street sports, but also inexperienced people who want to try street sports from all over the country can gather and interact.

The originally planned event at Yoyogi Park Keyaki Namiki was unfortunately canceled due to rain. Instead, in February and March 2023, we coordinated with various parties and held an alternative event.

About 15 players entered in Double Dutch (Mix), and SHU (1st year junior high school student) won the championship. About 30 players entered in Hip Hop (Mix), and HIMARI became the first champion (6th grader). I was. Approximately 60 players entered the breaking category, Cocoa (2nd year junior high school student) won the Bgirl category, and RA1ON (2nd year junior high school student) showed overwhelming strength in the Bboy category, resulting in 3 consecutive victories.
