In 2021, 10 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake and 5 years after the Kumamoto Earthquake, we will promote further dissemination and network building of disaster prevention and mitigation based on the lessons and experiences gained in the disaster response so far. Under the auspices of Shibuya Ward, we have started "MOSHIMO PROJECT SHIBUYA", an activity to spread and enlighten disaster prevention and mitigation through co-creation of local communities, visitors, and companies.
On May 1st (Saturday), we will distribute "Moshimo Conference", a content that considers disaster prevention and mitigation together with various creators, on the Moshimo Project Shibuya official YouTube channel for free.

If an earthquake occurs directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area, many transportation systems will stop, and there are about 5 million people who have difficulty returning home, about 3 million people who have been evacuated, and there is a forecast that food will be scarce. In addition, it is said that as many as 75% of people stop thinking due to the occurrence of an unexpected disaster and cannot take appropriate actions. "What if" always happens "someday". However, if we prepare for "what if", the future will change drastically. This project is set in Shibuya, where diverse people such as people who live, work, and play gather, and by thinking about what each person can do for "If Day" and preparing for it, we will create a resilient city. This is an initiative we are aiming for.
