Supported the "Shibuya Ocean Project" to promote action on environmental issues, including marine issues

news

The "Sea in Shibuya Project" is organized by SWiTCH, a general incorporated association that is a public partner of Future Design Shibuya, and is an exhibition event with the aim of reaffirming the connection between urban areas and the sea and promoting concrete actions for environmental issues, including marine issues. This project is part of the Nippon Foundation's "Sea and Japan Project," which connects people through the sea in order to pass on a rich and beautiful sea to the next generation.

The purpose of the "Feel the Sea in Shibuya Project"
Even though you can't see it right in front of you, Shibuya is connected to the sea. We tend to have the misconception that cities are unrelated to nature, but in fact, it is cities that have a huge impact on nature. This project provides an opportunity to feel the connection between Shibuya and the sea, and raises environmental awareness among city dwellers. We also aim to contribute to a sustainable future by encouraging the practice of concrete environmental actions that can be taken in the city.
