With the support of the Nippon Foundation, the third place for children, "Mirai's Library," has started recruiting additional children for the second term.
Mirai's library, which opened in the Children's Youth Center Friends Honmachi, is a community support project aimed at raising children's interest in the future, sympathy, and ability to survive by gathering children from various environments. On Thursday, in addition to after-school homework support, we are implementing a creative program that utilizes digital tools, and social education, experiments, and experiential learning programs from the perspective of SDGs.
We aim to create a place where children can spend their time with peace of mind, not at school or at home, and to foster children's curiosity and creativity.

What is the "Children's Third Whereabouts Mirai Library" base?
"Mirai's Library" is a third place learning / life support model for children, mainly for elementary school students, in addition to homework support, creative programs that utilize various digital tools, and social education from the perspective of SDGs. This is a community support project that aims to provide experiments and hands-on learning programs to increase interest in the future, sympathy, and ability to survive.
What is "the third place for children"?
In an environment where children can spend their time with peace of mind, the Japan Foundation plays a central role in developing the ability to survive for future independence, such as self-affirmation, ability to interact with people and society, lifestyle-related habits, and learning habits. It has been open nationwide since the year.
At the same time, in collaboration with schools, communities, and specialized institutions, it will function as a hub for a "local child-rearing community where no one is left behind." Currently, 74 locations are installed nationwide, and we aim to open 500 locations nationwide by 2025. (As of January 2022)
