Dance lessons and remote talk sessions by world-famous dancer Kento Mori

KDDI CORPORATION, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, and Future Design Shibuya, a general incorporated association, have built a culture and art creation project that connects Toyooka City and the regions and cities of Shibuya using au 5G.

As this project, we will hold a dance workshop "Remote Live Shop (Note 1)" and "Remote Talk Session" with the aim of revitalizing the region of Toyooka City.

Toyooka City, which aims to realize a "small world city -Local & Global City-", is promoting "town development of theater with depth" as one of the measures to promote measures against population decline. KDDI and Toyooka City signed a comprehensive agreement (Note 2) on September 21, 2016, and have implemented various collaborations utilizing KDDI assets, such as providing a new theater experience at the "Toyooka Theater Festival 2020". (Note 3).

This time, we invited world-famous dance performer Kento Mori to Toyooka City, and utilized au 5G to connect Toyooka City and Shibuya with a remote live shop and cutting-edge real-time motion capture technology (real people and objects). We performed a dance performance using (technology to record motion digitally) and AR (Augmented Reality). Furthermore, on December 25, 2020, the appeal of Toyooka City will be disseminated nationwide by holding a talk session by Kento Mori and experts from Toyooka City and Shibuya on the future image of regional and urban cooperation and the possibility of 5G. I will continue to do it.

KDDI will continue to contribute to Toyooka City's "drama town development with depth" by utilizing 5G and providing new expression methods with various partners such as Future Design Shibuya. Furthermore, we will strive to revitalize the region of Toyooka City by effectively utilizing the resources of both parties, such as online education utilizing 5G and ICT technologies.

Remote live shop by Kento Mori & AR Dance in Kinosaki International Arts Center

Kinosaki International Arts Center in Toyooka City and SUPER DOMMUNE (Shibuya Parco 9F) in Shibuya will be connected by 5G, and under the guidance of Mr. Kento Mori, elementary school students in Toyooka City and Future Design Shibuya will be in charge of the project Next. A total of 24 elementary school students from Generations (Note 4) held a dance lesson on December 19, 2020 to communicate with each other in real time.

In addition, on December 20, 2020, we showed off cutting-edge real-time motion capture technology and a dance performance by Kento Mori and children by AR.

Remote talk session "Culture x 5G connects, future possibilities through collaboration between local and urban areas"

A talk session on the theme of "Possibilities of 5G utilization and cooperation between regions and cities" will be held on December 25, 2020, and will be distributed on the Toyooka City official YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/ymwyLqZyhI8).
