The "Shibuya Data Consortium" is a consortium meeting with experts that involves member companies such as ICT vendors, network operators, and service providers to promote the smart city of Shibuya Ward.
Among them, a "study session" was held on May 20th, which is held regularly for the purpose of sharing the latest knowledge and promoting cooperation between member companies.
This time, which is the 7th time, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and High Concept Co., Ltd. will introduce examples of their efforts from among the member companies.
Mitsui & Co., Ltd. first explained the business of the Energy Solutions Headquarters, which was established within the company in April 2020. For the first time as a general trading company, we have set the goal of achieving the "Net-Zero Emission" in 2050, and have begun efforts to create a society that is in harmony with the environment.
In addition, the "shibuya good pass," an initiative currently being carried out in collaboration with Hakuhodo in Shibuya, is attracting attention as an initiative to create a smart city that is "consumer-driven" rather than technology-driven.
In addition, the company has a wide range of initiatives for smart cities that utilize its comprehensive strengths.
High Concept Co., Ltd. is a data marketing company based in Shibuya. In recent years, we have continued to make great strides in various fields, such as becoming a domestic distributor of the product analysis tool "mixpanel" used by major companies around the world.
This time, from among many projects, as an example of combining the city and AR technology, when viewed through a smartphone or goggles, a three-dimensional image of the city of Shibuya stands up on the table, and advertisements are embedded in it. We introduced a project where users can walk in the AR space implemented inside the museum and create experiences, where digital humans will explain the museum.
The company's AR project is being promoted with the aim of making it easier for AR technology to be implemented in society. As an application of that, isn't it possible to do something like this in the city of Shibuya? There is also an exciting proposal.
In this study session, in addition to introducing examples of the efforts of these two companies, he also explained the vision for the consortium to collaborate with other cities in the future. By collaborating with each city in Japan together with the member companies of the consortium, we will exchange opinions on a regular basis with the aim of speeding up the conversion to smart cities and creating a system where cases in other cities can be smoothly deployed horizontally. It's a schedule.
The Shibuya Data Consortium is still recruiting member companies.
