I asked while cleaning Center Street.
“What if all Shibuya companies could come together and pick up trash?”

Chiaki Kobayashi (Executive Officer, Business Production Headquarters, Adastria Co., Ltd.)

The Shibuya Good Manners Project, organized by FDS, involves volunteers from supporting companies cleaning up Shibuya Center Street every other Monday morning.
Among them, we spoke with Kobayashi-san from Adastria, who is always a particularly energetic participant, as we picked up trash together.

——What are your thoughts on participating in this activity?

Kobayashi: I think it would be great if Shibuya was a beautiful city that everyone could be proud of.
We call it "Morning Activity," and instead of just picking up trash, we get together in the morning and talk to people inside and outside the company while picking up trash, which I think is really great. think. I would be happy if more companies would feel free to come and pick up trash as if it were a game.

--Well, if you are a member company of FDS and are still looking for a concrete way to get involved, we would be happy to take this as your first step.
How is Adastria involved with FDS?

Kobayashi: Since I am in the collaboration promotion department for corporations, I often produce branding and uniforms for various companies from a fashion perspective. I designed it. We wanted to make picking up trash cool.

Adastria also has an office in Shibuya, and I would like to work with everyone at FDS to liven up Shibuya, and I think we can spread various things together from Shibuya.

——Was there anything that surprised you when you participated in the Center Gai cleanup campaign?

Kobayashi: I am once again reminded that a clean city is clean because someone is cleaning it (lol). Of course, there are those who throw things away and those who pick them up.

——A lot of Adastria employees are participating, and they all look great (lol)

Kobayashi: Yes, I think it would be great if people within the company could connect and participate. There are days when we can't come, so we all talk to each other, and we're always able to get 20 to 30 people together.

——Finally, what would you like to convey to FDS member companies?

Kobayashi: I really want more people to participate in this activity. Let's do "morning activities" together.

——We would like to revitalize it as a place for connections between companies.

Kobayashi: Yes, we are a company that has only done clothing so far, but in recent years we have started collaborating with various industries across borders. I think we're living in an era where many different companies are connecting with each other, and we hope to be able to support many different industries through fashion.
