Create a stadium park with a capacity of 30,000 people in the Yoyogi Park area, which is a sacred place for sports and entertainment and also serves as a disaster prevention base in the event of a disaster. This project has established a place to exchange opinions widely with residents, residents, and park users.
This time, a workshop was held inviting children, the generation that will open up the future of Yoyogi Park, to share their opinions with more free ideas.
What is the ideal park for children?
The venue was the Shibuya Ward Office New Government Building, a multipurpose space "Space 428" overlooking Shibuya Ward from the top floor. A total of 24 people gathered, including elementary school students and parents who are interested in various things. Below is a girl who is in the first grade of elementary school.
First of all, Future Design Shibuya Kanayama will explain the outline of this stadium concept again. Among them, Kanayama introduced the following history as a background to the completion of Yoyogi Park.

Yoyogi Park has changed with the needs of the times. Then, what kind of place and what kind of function do children who will be responsible for the future want?
With the theme of "I'm happy to be in the park, let's think about things freely", participants can freely draw "I wish I had" on the blank map of the Yoyogi Park section with crayons and colored pencils. To go. Each one becomes a park creator and expands their dreams.
The time limit is 45 minutes. As a result, various ideas were raised.

Both fathers and mothers are too busy to take them far, so it would be nice to have a park where you can easily enter the extraordinary.

I definitely want to keep the lawn square of my favorite Yoyogi Park. But I can't enjoy it in the rain, so I made a tall pillar in the center that looked like a big tree, and on a rainy day, a big tent overhangs and becomes a roof.
Otaka also lives in the nearby Meiji Jingu, so plant a lot of trees in Yoyogi Park to make a big forest. Create an "aerial athletic" on the tree so that children can play in the air.
I used to climb trees in Yoyogi Park when I was a kid, but now it's forbidden. Therefore, I want to create a safe ground even if I climb a tree or fall. There is also a "hill zone" where you can actively enjoy the slopes, such as using technology to create an area where you can always feel the nature of the four seasons, and to make it possible to sledge the grass on the steep slopes that still exist.
Of course, fantasy is up to that point, but when each participant thought and talked about "I wish I had it," everyone's happy smiles were very impressive.
It is in these free ideas that there is a seed of hope for creating an ideal park. It is the job of adults in the future to convert it into concrete ideas and nurture them.

Especially, I have never thought about camping in Yoyogi Park. Also, I thought it would be nice to have a zoo because it's hard to interact with animals in Shibuya.
I'm also raising children, and my daughter never said, "I want to go to Yoyogi Park." That's because there are no playsets. I also feel that it is a little disappointing part for the park.
Street sports are originally "street" sports because they are done in the city, but sometimes it is difficult to do because of complaints from residents. I think they should be possible in the park. Even if you can't do it in a real city, it's good if various people gather in the park and the park becomes like a city. There is no need for people to live there, and everyone "visits" with their own purposes.
I got a lot of hints today, so I hope I can incorporate them as ideas. I would like to use the possibility as a scenario and deliver it to Shibuya Ward as a project.
