The social and cultural design festival "SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK 2024 (hereinafter referred to as SIW2024)" will be held from Friday, October 18th to Sunday, November 10th. This year, we will be partnering with Asahi Breweries, Ltd. and Sumadori Co., Ltd. to implement a variety of programs.
Following a discussion on "diversity of drinking styles" at an idea session held at SIW in 2021, the Shibuya Smart Drinking Project was launched at SUMADORI-BAR SHIBUYA, which opened in June 2022 and is operated by Sumadori Co., Ltd. (a joint venture established by Asahi Breweries and Dentsu Digital). Aiming to realize a society where diversity of drinking styles is respected, activities to promote diversity of drinking styles in collaboration with industry, academia, government and local communities are beginning to create a new drinking culture in Shibuya.
At SIW2024, there will be a fashion show hosted by Bunka Fashion Week and a presentation on smart drinking as thought by Generation Z. In addition, Sumadori Inc. will host a pop-up bar called "ZERO by SUMADORI-BAR" for three days only at Harappa on the fourth floor of Tokyu Plaza Harajuku "Harakado."

Gen Z's thoughts on smart drinking
Gen Z, who are just starting to drink alcohol, learned about smart drinking and considered measures to make the world a more interesting place. The theme was "SUMADORI change the future." The details will be presented at SIW.

Launched in 2022, Sumadori has been working towards social implementation in 2023. Rather than bringing about major changes, we hope to open the door to a bright future for each of us by recognizing and respecting the individuality and diversity that exists today. In 2024, Sumadori has been doing things, combining things, and experimenting to create a better society together with Generation Z, who will lead the future.

Responsible drinking for Generation Z
We will hold a seminar on proper drinking to learn about various things related to alcohol, such as "What does it mean to be drunk?" and "What is a constitution that can tolerate alcohol well?", as well as a patch test to find out your own constitution to tolerate alcohol. We will also have a craft experience in the same space.
*This content will be available every 30 minutes during the event.
*Patch tests cannot be performed on people under the age of 20.

Shibuya x Smart Drinking
Smadori = Smart Drinking At SIW2021's "Idea Session | Shibuya x Smart Drinking," a diverse group of participants unique to Shibuya discussed the smart drinking culture, bringing us to an era where everyone, whether they want to drink alcohol, can't drink, or choose not to drink, whether they drink or don't, can smartly choose the appropriate alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink to suit their constitution, mood, and the situation.
Three years have passed since then, and we will hold a "reunion talk" to look back on how smart drinking culture and the market have evolved, as well as past efforts and changes in the world.
