The street sports project "Next Generations", in which young people can actively participate, for the purpose of promoting street sports and enlightenment of improving manners, supervised by Future Design Shibuya, will be held as a sports producer training course "Shibuya Sports Academy 2022". In collaboration with Arvark Tokyo, a basketball club belonging to the first division of men's professional basketball B.LEAGUE, we produced a prime time show before the home game (Levanga Hokkaido match) held on Saturday, March 25. bottom.
Based on the idea that ``street sports, where many young people in their teens and 20s are active, young power should shine even on the side that supports them,'' the next-generation sports scene will be supervised by Future Design Shibuya from 2020. "Shibuya Sports Academy" was launched as part of the creative project "Next Generations".
In the second semester curriculum, as a culmination of all nine lectures and practical training, the goal of "producing a prime time show before the Alvark Tokyo home game" was indicated, and from the theme of "knowing about Alvark Tokyo", "venue production" " They learned and experienced the necessary elements as a producer who supports sports, from performance composition, how to liven up the venue, to costume production.
Many of the students have experienced double dutch among street sports, and the actual performance consisted of a double dutch performance in which members of the “Nippon Sport Science University Double Dutch Circle Ranro” cast by the students were the main members. During the limited performance time of 5 minutes, he performed with the Alvark cheerleader and the mascot character “Luke”, and excited the venue with a performance that made you feel the momentum of street sports unique to “Next Generations”.
Through "Shibuya Sports Academy 2022", the students who had the first experience of producing sports said, "I learned the difficulty of performing at a big venue" and "There are various roles to liven up one sport. He commented, "I felt that people are involved," and "It was an opportunity to think about what position I would like to continue to be involved in sports in the future."
Taking advantage of this collaboration with Alvark Tokyo, in the future we will not only collaborate with "Next Generations" but also other projects promoted by Future Design Shibuya, and carry out various measures to excite sports in Shibuya.
The "Next Generations" project will continue to work on various activities. And please pay attention to Future Design Shibuya and Alvark Tokyo's efforts.
<About Next Generations>
Focusing on the “next generation” that will expand the possibilities of Shibuya and the city, the “next generation” will “encounter” sports, “learn” from sports, create a place to “shine” with their favorite sports, and be proud. This is a “next generation” sports scene creation project launched in 2018 through industry-government-academia-civil collaboration to design a city that has Shibuya, the epicenter of fashion and culture, is also a city where our predecessors pioneered street sports and their culture. We aim to recreate a place (playground) that has been lost with the development of the city, promote street sports and enlighten people on manners, foster a sports culture that is unique to Shibuya, and revive it as "Shibuya = Mecca for street sports".
