The "Shibuya 5G Entertainment Project", which is composed of participating companies centered on KDDI Corporation, Future Design Shibuya, and the Shibuya City Tourism Association, will be held on December 20 in Shibuya City's official distribution platform "Virtual Shibuya". From the 25th to the 25th, we will hold a virtual event "Virtual Shibuya au 5G X'mas" with the keyword "#StayTogether" in 2020, which has been shaken by the corona disaster.
Virtual Shibuya was opened to the public in May 2020 as Japan's first "local government-approved" virtual space, and is one of Japan's largest distribution platforms that has been experienced by a total of about 450,000 people to date. As the end of the year, we will hold a Christmas event.
This year, we are forced to refrain from going out and parties due to the new coronavirus, and we are forced to have a different Christmas season than usual. In 2020, when there were many such “restrictions”, we will hold participatory mini-games and collaboration events where you can receive luxurious gifts based on the concept of “Christmas gifts from virtual Shibuya” so that you can create Christmas-like memories while staying at home. It will be held.
During the period, fantastic illuminations will be lit in various places in Virtual Shibuya, a huge tree will appear at the scramble crossing, and you can enjoy Christmas-style photo spots.
In "Virtual Shibuya au 5G X'mas", we will provide an unprecedented Christmas experience while avoiding "Three Cs" with various companies participating this time.
Virtual Shibuya au 5G X'mas concept
In May 2020, "Virtual Shibuya" was born during the self-restraint period due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. We actively held collaboration events and seasonal events as a new city model in the new normal era.
This winter Christmas season can't be spent with lovers, family and loved ones. We can guess that we are forced to have such an unusual Christmas this year, and instead of connecting with our loved ones in real life, Shibuya will stand up so that we can create virtual memories that are unique to this year.

What is Virtual Shibuya?
Virtual Shibuya was born in May 2020 as a platform for transmitting and experiencing “Shibuya-like” content, officially recognized by Shibuya Ward. Approximately 400,000 people experienced the “Virtual Shibuya au 5G Halloween Festival” held in October. By combining cutting-edge technology and entertainment, we will provide two experiences: a virtual event venue and a digital twin (mirror world) that expresses the same content in cooperation with the real Shibuya city.

・Construct a “place” in the virtual space to transmit Shibuya-like content. In the future, we plan to collaborate with companies participating in the "Shibuya 5G Entertainment Project".

・ At each spot, online events will be held from time to time where you can experience entertainment such as live performances by artists, talk shows, and art exhibitions, just like in real Shibuya.
・Using 5G and cutting-edge technology, we provide entertainment in the 5G era that can be accessed from anywhere and transcends conventional constraints such as time and place.
・A digital twin (mirror world) that expresses the same content in collaboration with the real Shibuya town will create a world where the digital and the real world merge.
