Future Design Shibuya is a general incorporated association of university sports (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Norihiko Fukuhara, hereinafter referred to as UNIVAS), in collaboration with Kokugakuin University Ultimate Club "TRIUMPH", to provide sports to elementary school students in Shibuya Ward. An ultimate experience event will be held on April 23rd (Sun) in order to embody the charm and enjoyment of the ultimate.
In June 2021, UNIVAS started the activities of the "UNIVAS STUDENT LOUNGE" (abbreviation: USL) as an initiative to promote the development of university sports and the growth of university students themselves. USL is a general term for a place where various friends (university students) gather, exchange information, and actively engage in activities. We have organized a marketing team to conduct PR that introduces the efforts of each university, athletic club, athletic club students, and the appeal of the sport. We aim to be a team that can plan, prepare, and execute with the free ideas of students, such as transmitting information on the spot.
With the cooperation of Children and Youth Center Friends Honmachi, USL will provide an opportunity for elementary school children to experience the ultimate sport in order to let more people know about the appeal of college sports. Ultimate is a competition in which players throw a disc and carry it to the end of the goal. This time, members of the Kokugakuin University Ultimate Club "TRIUMPH" will teach elementary school students how to throw and catch a disc. We hope that the students of the athletic club will not only focus on competitions, but also develop into outstanding human resources through social contribution and cooperation with the local community, which will lead to future growth.
