WHAT IS “CNUD”

In 2015, as the entire world agreed to the Paris Agreement, 831 local governments in Japan made a Zero Carbon City Declaration with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Shibuya City has declared "greenhouse gas reduction targets by 2030" in its Basic Environmental Plan (revised in 2023). Efforts toward decarbonization are required.
"CNUD (Carbon Neutral Urban Design)" is a place where Shibuya's industry, government, and academia discuss decarbonization, share the latest decarbonization technology and system information, and disseminate sustainable urban culture from Shibuya to the world. CNUD community members

At CNUD, we set up a place to share and discuss the latest decarbonization technology and system information, and advocate new decarbonization policies and social implementation of mechanisms that harmonize the economy and the environment through collaboration between industry, government, and academia. aims to become the most sustainable city in the world. Mana Saza

Born in 1995. Graduated from University College London. We will operate "Mock COP26", which was established in response to the postponement of COP26 in 2020, and will appeal to young people in 140 countries and obtain signatures at COP26 to promote climate change education in more than 20 countries, including Japan. In the same year, the general incorporated association SWiTCH was established. Currently, in preparation for EXPO2025, we are promoting the development of "1 million sustainable ambassadors" who will live on one planet.

Born in Tokyo in 1964. After completing a doctoral course at the Department of Urban Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, he became a lecturer (urban engineering) at the University of Tokyo Graduate School in 1997, an associate professor in 2000, and assumed his current position in 2013. Based on the results of his research, he is working with many citizens' groups and local governments to implement urban planning and community design. In addition, he was involved in the establishment of the city planning proposal system as a member of the Social Infrastructure Development Council. His publications include "Community Design Studies" (edited and written by University of Tokyo Press), "Community Dictionary (edited and written by Shunpusha, upcoming publication)" "Smart Growth" (edited and written by Gakugei Publishing), "Machizukuri Encyclopedia" (edited and written by Maruzen). )other. Jungo Kanayama

Born in 1978. After working as a business development producer at Dentsu, OORONG-SHA, and AP Bank, established creative atelier TNZQ. Based on the concept of collective impact, we promote social design projects through co-creation with various creators, designers, artists, companies, and government agencies. Since 2016, he has been leading Shibuya City's tourism strategy and business as a representative director of the Shibuya City Tourism Association. In 2018, he led the establishment of Future Design Shibuya a general incorporated association, and participated as a director at its founding.
In 2023, channel47, a general incorporated association, was established to expand the field of activities to 47 prefectures.

Noriyuki Matsushima

Born in Tokyo in 1967, completed master's program at Waseda University Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Resource Engineering (currently Department of Environmental Resources Engineering), specializing in mineral beneficiation and interfacial chemistry. Energy manager. FM87.6MHz Shibuya radio "Sustainable in Shibuya" personality. After researching at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, he started an environmental education venture business in Nagasaki.
Promoted Shibuya City's environmental policy as Shibuya City Environmental Conservation Division Manager and Shibuya City Environmental Policy Advisor. At Future Design Shibuya, a general incorporated association, we are currently promoting industry-government-academia-private collaboration projects aimed at building a carbon-neutral society while supporting Shibuya Ward's environmental policy. Additionally, as the director of the Sasebo City Global Warming Prevention Activities Promotion Center, he is currently conducting environmental education for both children and adults.
