Future Design Shibuya (FDS) is an organization made up of a diverse group of people with ideas and talents across many disciplines. They have come together to design solutions to societal issues through open innovation in order to realize the city of the future and fulfill the dreams of so many who love Shibuya.

Mr.Kenro Suto has been working for Shibuya City at Civil Engineering Department and Urban Development Division since 1977. Being involved with the start-up of this organization, He joins as Secretary General of Future Design Shibuya.

Shinko Osada
Through Professional Sales, Marketing and Communication experience in top tier global organizations such as AT&T and Nokia, joined Red Bull Japan as Communication Director in 2007. 3 years of Brand & Communication leadership, moved to Head of Marketing in 2010 to be responsible overall Marketing strategy and activities in Japan. Through 10.5 years of carrier in Red Bull, contributed the category development of Energy Drink market and Red Bull Brand establishment in Japanese market as well as one of Japan Management leadership members to lead the organization. As of 2018, becomes an independent Marketing consultant and joins as Vice Secretary General and Project Design of Future Design Shibuya.

Jungo Kanayama
Born in 1978. Mr. Jungo Kanayama started his carrier at DENTSU INC. and through business development professional experience in leading companies in Japanese music industry such as Oorong-Sha Co., Ltd. and ap bank. Since then, he established creative atelier TNZQ. Following his belief "The client, social issues.”, he has promoted creative projects that solve social problems by collaborating with various creators, designers, artists and companies. As a representative director of the Shibuya City Tourism Association from 2016, he leads the tourism strategy and business of the Shibuya City and he also produces many projects in this area. In 2017, he become a founding member of the Creative Firm “EVERY DAY IS THE DAY”.

Taichi Goto
Mr. Taichi Goto is an accomplished consultant and project designer in urban and regional development. With extensive track records of founding and managing public private partnership, other areas of his expertise includes city and regional planning, creative economy, area marketing, localizing and regionalizing of business models, urban design, project development and management, and public relations. He started his career with a Japanese general contractor Kajima as an urban designer. After the graduate study on city and regional planning at UC Berkeley, he had worked at Metro, regional government of Portland OR, to help the council unanimously adopt the Regional Framework Plan. Having worked globally as an urban planning consultant based in Tokyo, he moved to Fukuoka in 2003 to further focus on making it a model of a sustainable region in Japan and Asia Pacific. He has helped many public-sector clients develop effective strategies and working mechanisms for better quality of life, sustainable environment and vital economy. He has also guided a variety of private-sector clients develop innovative projects and businesses to meet regional context and growing market.

Seiichi Saito
Born in Kanagawa in 1975, Mr. Saito began his career in New York in 2000 after graduating from Columbia University with a Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design (MSAAD). Since then, he has been active in creative work at the Arnell Group, and returned to Japan upon being selected for the Echigo­Tsumari Art Triennial event. He produces works in the commercial art field which are three­dimensional and interactive while also being based on the firm grounding in logical thought that he cultivated through architecture. Mr. Saito has won numerous international awards from 2009. He currently serves as Director of Rhizomatiks Co., Ltd., while also lecturing part­time at the Department of Graphic Design in the Faculty of Kyoto Seika University. 2013 D&AD “Digital Design” Jury, 2014 Cannes LIONS “Branded Content and Entertainment” jury. Born in Fukuoka in 1979. Mr. ​Sakyo started his career in trading company Sumitomo after he graduated form Waseda University. In September 2006, he founded Shibuya University; a university based within the Shibuya community that focused on lifelong education, after planning for a year.​

Natsuo Sato
Mr.Natuso Sato has established EVERY DAY IS THE DAY, a unique brand engineering studio in 2017, after his position as Executive Creative Director at HAKUHODO INC. Natsuo has been in charge of major accounts such as adidas, NIKE and Mercedes-Benz. In recent years his work includes business development for TOYOTA, the fashion coordinating app “WEAR” as well as producing global motor shows for BRIDGESTONE. In 2018 he has been assigned Future Designer for the Shibuya district. His creative spectrum further extends to product and service development such as children’s educational program and space design. He has won several global and domestic ad awards including “JAPAN Good Design” and The Grand Prix for Japan ACC marketing effectiveness.​​

Takeshi Natsuno
Takeshi Natsuno, Professor of Keio University, majors in Information Technology, network effect on industry, business and government policy. Widely known as the ‘father of mobile Internet’, thanks to his achievement of founding i-mode mobile Internet service in 1999. As Senior Vice President of NTT DoCoMo, he developed e-mail messaging (1999), ringtone downloading service(2000), JAVA based mobile application downloading service(2001), wallet phones(2004) including e-money payment, and mobile credit service(2006). These services have developed by him mainly in Japan, far ahead of smartphone implementation worldwide. Widely regarded as a leading expert on the Internet and mobile multimedia globally, he was named one of the world’s 25 most influential e-business leaders by Business Week in 2001. In 2009, he was elected as Advisory Board member of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which standardizes HTML and other web technologies (Reelected in 2011). He has been a member of Global Agenda Council of World Economic Forum from 2008 to 2015. He has served as a Special Advisor for the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games since 2014. Takahiko Nomura
Mr. Takahiko Nomura started his carrier at Fuji Xerox, and worked for the Corporate Research Lab. after receiving his Ph.D. from Keio University. He was researching for CSCW(Computer Supported Cooperative Work) at the Lab. After that, he moved to the Corporate Strategy Office to adopt his research hypothesis to real business cases. he was engaged to create a corporate vision “from Document to Knowledge,” based on the ideas of Knowledge Management. In 2000, he launched a new service business group, called KDI (Knowledge Dynamics Initiative), and lead the group as a senior manager for 12 years. Mr. Nomura launched a research project about Social Innovation at GLOCOM. In 2012, based on the concept, and started a new company, named Future Sessions, to drive social innovation across the border among private, public, and social sectors.​
Loftwork Inc. Co-founder and Representative Director
Chiaki Hayashi
Co-founded Loftwork Inc. in 2000, which rolls out the diversely projects including web, community, and spacial design initiatives. The agency operates multiple services: “FabCafe”, a digital manufacturing cafe, and “MTRL”, a creative space for creators, “AWRD”, a platform to promote co-creation with creators. She also serves as the Japan Liaison to the Director of MIT Media Lab, and CEO of Hidakuma. Hidakuma is a new form of public-private joint enterprise, which aims to create regional industries through traditional techniques and forest regeneration.​
